Sports Facilities

Do sports have any significance in a student’s life or they simply divert them from studies? Can regular participation in sports and games garner success in academics? These are some of the questions that haunt every student and their parents.

Undoubtedly, sports and games are essential to develop the students physically as well as mentally. In addition to that, sports and games are known to develop the students holistically. They enhance the personality of individuals by imparting various traits in them

Sports are said to boost alertness, disciple, team spirit, mental ability, confidence and concentration of a student. It doesn’t matter what kind of sports the students are playing and whether they are winning or not. Every sport will always inculcate some amazing traits in them.

In college, sports play a key role in moulding the students. These give mental relaxation to the students from their hectic schedule. Furthermore, sports develop students into well-balanced individuals. Apart from that, there are many reasons that stress on sports:

Clearly, in addition to acquiring fitness, students acquire different personality traits from sports. These traits help them in succeeding in their workplace as well as in their personal life. Sports teach different virtues to the students that help them to lead a good life

Type of Sports

All these sports facilities and equipments are available in the college:-

National Service Scheme (NSS):

National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in 1969 (Gandhi Centenary year) and aimed at developing student’s personality through community service. The overall objective of National Service Scheme is Education. This objective is attained through the service of the community.

The NSS Unit of Career College was started in, 1997-1998 and NSS Committee was constituted on 1998-1999. When the college started the NSS Unit, very few students showed interest in it. However, with the passage of time, the Unit landed up having a handsome number of students who have registered as NSS volunteers. In line with this, a lot of programmes have been organized by the NSS Unit through various Departments in the college and yearly reports have been submitted

As the college is involved enormously in community programmes and in reaching out to the rural interiors a large number of students are joining it as volunteers. Students who wish to join as an NSS volunteer in the Unit are asked to fill a form which is kept as an official record and his her documents are handed to the University. The NSS Unit was able to organize more than 04 programmes from 2022-23 to 2023-24

Students Grievance and Redressal

Career Colleges has constituted a Grievance and Redressal Cell as per UGC Grievance Redressal regulation. This cell works towards resolving the complaints lodged by any student. The Grievance Redressal Cell is also empowered to look into the matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach to the Principal and members of GRC. In case the student is unwilling to appear in person, written grievance may be dropped in the ‘Complaint Box’ situated in the reception area of Career College.

Students are requested to note that making a complaint is serious and therefore, they are to use this power in a responsible manner. At the same time, the college assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Health Facilities

The College gives ample attention to the health & hygiene of students and employees. It houses a medical room equipped with primary medical aid facilities. In case of emergency, the students are taken treatment on 500 meters nearest the Arya Clinic, Chhotkwa Kheda or 7 Km the CHC Bachhrawan. The college has adequate number of washrooms for students and staff with sanitary hand washes.

Sexual Harassment Committee

The Supreme Court in its judgment said every woman has a right to a safe workplace. The court gave directives for all employers/organizations making it mandatory to institute sexual harassment complaints committees at workplaces. The judgment also created sexual harassment prevention guidelines for the workplace. The sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act-2013 has replaced the guidelines/norms laid down by Hon’able Supreme Court on sexual harassment and came into force from 9 December 2013. The Govt. of India made rules for carrying out the provisions of this Act, 2013.

The Internal Complaints Committee is responsible for investigating every formal written complaint of sexual harassment and taking appropriate remedial measures to respond to any substantiated allegations of sexual harassment.

The Internal Complaints Committee shall inquire into the complaints as per the provisions of Section-11 of the Act, 2013. The Committee may give recommendations as may be considered necessary under the provision of Section-12 of the Act, 2013 and based on these recommendations, the Competent Authority shall take appropriate action.
