JPS Mahavidyalay is situated at Prema Nagar, Chhotkawa Kheda, Ichauli, Block-Bachhrawan, District-Raebareli Uttar Pradesh 8 km from Town-Bachhrawan town on National Highway Lucknow-Allahabad to Bachhrawan-Unnao Highway. Based on the spirit of mutual cooperation and harmony, apart from the narrow ideology of religion and caste, this college of ours is an educational institution of rural area, situated in a healthy and sattvik environment, free from the corrupt influences of rural areas. The basic mantra of the college family is to make the students cultured, talented and to develop their complete personality.
In the academic session 2018-19, the respected and enlightened citizen of the area, Shri K.B. Singh, who was the founder of the establishment of JPS Mahavidyalaya by JPS Foundation Trust, Lucknow, with the cooperation and support of his dedicated associates Shri Sheetla Baksh Singh-Advocate, Dr. Mahendra Kumar Awasthi, Shri C.K. Singh, who was awarded Sahitya Bhushan by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the active workers of JPS Foundation Lucknow and Vivekanand Inter College, keeping in view the desire for higher education of the students of the most backward rural areas of the district-Rae Bareli and Unnao, decided to make it a centre of high level education in arts, commerce and science courses.
As a result of the tireless efforts of Shri K.B. Singh, the vision of this college could be realized even in the difficult circumstances of building the school in just 04 months. In the year of establishment 2019-20, the college got permission from the excellent Chhatrapati Shauhji Maharaj University, Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh (affiliated to Lucknow University, Lucknow in the current session 2021-22) to conduct courses at the undergraduate level in the subjects of Economics, Education, English, Hindi, Home Science, Political Science, Sociology under the Faculty of Arts (B.A.) and Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics under the Faculty of Science (B.Sc.) and (B.Com.) under the Faculty of Commerce and started conducting classes from August-2019.
Act and Statues: The self financed JPS Mahavidyalaya is formed under The Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act-1973 [Act No. 10 of 1973] with affiliating University of Lucknow, Lucknow.
