JPS Foundation Trust, Lucknow is a voluntary registered social service trust established in August 2016 keeping in mind the social welfare works and liberal sentiments of the unforgettable father Jagdish Singh and mother Prema Devi Singh, who were thinkers of the poor, helpless and destitute people of the rural areas. The registration number of the trust is 564/2016 which is registered on 01-09-2016. As per its trust deed, JPS Foundation Trust is committed to conduct programs like primary higher education, community health, environment and pollution, drug eradication, women employment oriented training, women empowerment, skill development of youth, old age home, orphanage, drinking water and sanitation etc. in collaboration with various ministries/departments of the Central/State Government and other supporting agencies for the social, economic and mental development of educated unemployed youth, farmers, children, women and neglected people at the rural and urban level.

To fulfill these objectives, to provide equal opportunity of higher education in rural areas, it was our ultimate goal to establish a college by the Trust, with the inspiration of the friendly elders of our ancestral home and to give concrete shape to the yearning of students of rural areas for higher level education, which has been given concrete shape today in the form of JPS College. We do not end here by thanking all the elders, social workers, parents, students from the bottom of our hearts for the ambition to touch the highest dimensions of education through this noble work, but we wish to improve the lives of the promising, budding, civilized citizens of future.

Approved courses of Arts, Science, Commerce Faculty of Graduate level affiliated to Lucknow University, Lucknow have been provided to all the students of the college through qualified subject experts. I hope that this college will prove to be a milestone in your understanding of the subject easily and building your future by developing your education with the help of specially trained teachers. I wish that all of you always move ahead on the path of development in life.

Dear Students/Parents,

In the words of Swami Vivekananda, “I worship that God whom fools call man”. His zeal to establish human dignity establishes the feeling of ‘Daridra Narayan’. That is why he made a praiseworthy effort to first give the deprived the right to education. Inspired by this, the founder Shri K.B. Singh made a successful effort to establish Vivekananda Inter College and then J.P.S. College in this area. The college family is grateful to those who provided their generous support in realizing this dream and resolution. Swami Ji wanted to implement the education system based on Indian culture in India, so that the feeling of self-confidence and self-reliance can be developed in Indians. It is only through education that social, religious and economic conditions and environment can be changed. The ultimate aim of establishing this college is to create awareness about rights and duties, to develop personality and scientific outlook towards life, to remove superstitions and unwanted traditions, to develop employment oriented economic structure and to build the lives of youth who are capable of facing the serious challenges of present and future.

The college family is committed to build the good character of the youth through higher education, expand their intellect by creating a competitive environment to increase their mental power and make them capable of standing on their own feet.

Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)

JPSM is a coeducational institution providing equal opportunities to all. Men and women work together in a congenial atmosphere, however if there are any complaints involving physical contacts or advances, demand for sexual favours, sexually tainted remarks, and any unwelcome physical, verbal or nonverbal expressions of a sexual nature; it is addressed and appropriate action is taken. This cell aims at sensitizing the students and staff to work diligently to prevent sexual harassment in the college. Complaints of sexual harassment shall be lodged with the Committee and appropriate disciplinary action is initiated by the members in accordance to the rules and regulations of the college.

It is formed according to the provisions of the POSH Act- Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act of 2013, 9^th December 2013. (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal). It is also mentioned in UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions) Regulations, 2015- 2^nd May 2016.

Functions of ICC

To prevent sexual harassment at workplace.
To prevent discrimination and sexual harassment against girls by promoting gender amity among students and employees
To conduct periodical programmes on women empowerment.
To provide conducive environment and congenial atmosphere for women.

Who can approach ICC?

Any aggrieved woman who has suffered harassment at workplace can approach ICC. Aggrieved woman includes:
